My fascination with makeup started at a very early age. As a child, I have a distinct memory of a Halloween when my mother dressed me up as a clown and tried to put mascara on me. Although a bit traumatic (mascara on a two year old?!), still, I was hooked. In 2000, I attended Von Lee Academy in Baltimore, MD, where I studied makeup artistry. In 2003, I packed up and moved to Savannah and it’s been love ever since.
In the past, I worked for several cosmetics companies, most notably Bobbi Brown, who I had the honor of meeting and had a training with. I credit much of my deeper knowledge of artistry to working for her company. I learned that what really separates a good makeup artist from a great one, is the ability to create the illusion of flawless skin and an understanding of all skin tones. I also learned the importance of being humble and always open to growing and learning. Years later, I decided to shift to the spa industry to be able to focus on my artistry without the pressure of sales. I had the opportunity to work with many brides and I realized that is where my passion lies. My dream was to go out on my own and share my expertise with brides-to-be.
In the fall of 2012, my husband and I welcomed our baby boy and I decided the timing was right, and Lauren Rossi Bridal Makeup was born. The excitement and anticipation on a wedding day is infectious and I feel so very lucky to be a part that. I strive to make every bride and member of their party feel comfortable, relaxed, and beautiful.
